I've been using Fastspring for about a year having used SWReg, ShareIt and Esellerate over the past 10 years and I can easily say Fastspring is the best of the bunch!

I just wish they would introduce an affiliate scheme! I know you can use shareasale and commission junction but they both have steep setup fees - in truth the amount of affiliate sales I've typically made in a year would just cover the setup fee!

I using FastSpring for more of 3 years, more convenient for me,i like it, except that i don't have the option to do a manual review of orders before payments.

I have a question, (thinking as a buyer) is the same to buy from Plimus, regNow, E-selleare, Kagi or a new reseller as FastSpring?.

I'm not aware of any 3-rd party shopping cards for FastSpring but frankly I never looked for one.

You can ask their support staff if they know of any 3rd parties.

Great post indeed.
I start using FastSpring mostly because of the Payoneer card and I'm more than satisfied. Now I'm trying to setup shopping card on my PLR site (that's how I found your post :).
Jacob, do you know is there any 3rd party shopping cart available for FastSpring?

Hi, I'm the technical lead at MacBuzzer.
You're right that we used fastspring for our recent bundle. They had some difficulties, because their store couldn't handle the sales rush and some race conditions in their code caused trouble. They not only fixed those code problems in a day or two and did a rollout, they also had one person working exclusively on the bundle, sending licenses manually for the failed sales. All of that without us telling them anything specific about the bundle beforehand.
Additionally, I had 10 support requests for them during the planning stages of the bundle, one of them even causing a rollout with additional features we needed. All of the requests were handled perfectly.
Their system was able to handle all of the licenses in a single sale, requested the information directly from the various developers' servers, so I didn't have to have a high-availability service myself.
I think I'd have had a hearth attack during that time if not for the excellent support from fastspring. For your bundle, you're in the lucky position that their store is already bundle-proof :)

I wish I could get away from Paypal, but the problem is, as always, the bottom line. 1$ + 6% or 0$ + 9% is quite a hefty price to pay. At the end of the year, it adds up to considerable amounts.

The way I see it is that the money I save with reduced commissions from Paypal is the amount I can afford to lose by being screwed by them. Auto-insurance :)

Yup, I am using FastSpring since January and I love them. There are no problems, the support is fast and always friendly and the payments come regularly. I wish my bank was like them :)

Hi Jacob, thanks a lot for sharing your experience. I'm in the process of comparing payment processors for TotalFinder. I was already almost decided to go with FastSpring and your article just confirmed my decision. Thanks!
